Issues facing children and women in Haiti.
Haiti, ranked 163 out of 188 countries on the Human Development Index, faces multiple vulnerabilities. The country is exposed to many natural hazards, including earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, and droughts.

In the past fifteen years, Haiti has experienced a major earthquake and several hurricanes, including, in 2016, Hurricane Matthew, a Category 4 storm that affected over two million people and left 1.4 million in need of humanitarian assistance. Natural disasters exacerbate the vulnerability of the population in a country in which 70 percent of the population under 25 years of age live in poor households, and one out of four children under 5 years of age are underdeveloped. This report is a wake-up call to the local and international community. Our purpose is to promote, facilitate and develop, at our disposal, the socio-medico-economic relations between the various organizations and target groups concerned with the well-being of orphans and vulnerable children, and to examine all the related problems.

A new generation is ready to move from despair to hope, from dependency to self-reliance and from negative influences on the life-giving knowledge of Christian values. Helping children’s dream become a reality is our goal!
