The mission of ARCF-Save the Kids is to provide educational opportunities to orphans and vulnerable children through strengthening families and communities.
Our approach addresses the physical, social, emotional, and educational needs of children.
Our Vision
ARCF, Save the Kids Vision, is helping children see human possibilities for themselves beyond the degradation they experience daily. We strive to alleviate the deep-rooted nature of the problem so that the children can be effective in their lives and communities. Through education, we envision each child having access to the greater world and the opportunity to participate in it, with their own ideals.

Our History
Marlene Mathurin co-founder of At-Risk Children had successfully managed the USAID-Haiti’s At-Risk Youth Program from 1998-2002 as Executive Director of “Chambre de l’Enfance Nécéssiteuse Haitienne. [CENH] English “Chamber of Needy Children” an organization that leads a coalition of institutions working with orphaned and vulnerable children throughout the country.
The continuation of the socioeconomic and political crisis that marred a transition to democracy in Haiti has caused many setbacks; aggravated by the departure of the United Nations troops to leave Haiti by order of the UN General Secretary Kofi Annan.
For more than two decades on we have learned that local leaders have promising ideas to improve education quality in their own communities. That is why we support the Community Building Program, “CBP” to help them.
The CBP began in 2003, with the construction of Marie Rose Outreach and the Good Shepherd Orphanage, in Cité Soleil, Port au Prince. USAID-Haiti funded these projects.
