In January 2004, At Risk Children Foundation welcomed Kate Crowley, and were blessed by her leadership for the next 14 years. Many wonderful things happened during those years; Ms. Crowley’s finest attributes flourished in Port au Prince and southern Haiti. She directed coordination with administrative ability and a powerful sense of social justice.
She demonstrated these especially by promoting the “Bon Dlo” Good Water Project, Support Community Building Program (CBP). This effort provided funds for food, schooling, and Healthcare Surveillance for the poorest people in the community.
Ms. Crowley’s qualities of commitment to poor children, unquestioned purity of motivation, were exactly what At Risk Children’s needed. Thus, we were thrilled when she agreed in 2015 to shoulder this great responsibility as a member of the executive board in its new position of International Liaison.
